If I could give ZERO I would! Not only was I harassed daily by Scott, the sales manager, he had the nerve to say he was going to sue me for signing a contract for them to check my credit and give me an estimate on a door and 4 windows! Called the Better Business bureau and they informed me they had SEVERAL complaints on these people!
Don't expect a written estimate! After 3 hours of "we do everything the right way" the sales man was mad that I wouldn't sign a contract, I repeatedly told him I had to get the estimate first, he refused to give me a estimate and stormed out the door! Everyone has a bad day, so I called the company and was soon talking with the sales supervisor, he was by far the worst! I explained I thought the salesman was doing great until the end. The salesman supervisor was very rude to me and told me they have plenty of work and they don't need my business! I was shocked, I always thought this was a good company, my opinion has changed, how would you treat someone if you already had their money and they had a problem? I feel bad for elderly people you take advantage of, and everyone else. It is normal practice to do a written estimates before any contact is signed! My time is gone, but maybe I can help someone else!
They stripped, resheeted and reshingled our house in Oneida, IL. They where courteous and on time. The crew clean up after they self. The company have been a dream to work with. Cannot go wrong with them. I highly recommend. The Pope Family
Curious as to why, I called and asked. I was told that someone would come out to take care of it. Multiple calls and several months later, that still had not happened…
Looking in the dumpster, I noticed my leaf guard from the back of the house was removed without asking and was not replaced.
I want to start the review off by saying that the actual roof replacement itself seems to have been done fairly well; most everything else from the job was less than par. It is now several months after the job was completed and I am still finding issues. I figured it was time to share my experience.
If I could give them zero stars I would. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy! This company seems to have a very large problem with miscommunication. I took a day off work and lost pay because I was promised that someone would be showing up to repair my roof. He called me two hours after he was supposed to show up and told me that he was picking up supplies and that his daughter was sick. I told him that I understood as I am a mother as well, and asked that he show up as soon as he can. He then showed up the next day with another member who had originally done my roof. He just so happen to be one of the roofers that went to jail the day he did my roof, unable to complete the original job. When they did show up it was corrected within 45 minutes. The original roofing job however was a huge poo show !! They put busted shingles on my roof. They left a portion of it uncovered overnight and it rained. Which resulted in water damage to our roof and attic. Their idea of fixing it was to just replace the insulation in my attic and told me that if I ever have any other water damages to let them know. My house smells musty and I assume that it is probably because it rained all inside of our house. Calling them back and proving that it was because of their failure to properly install roof is not even worth the headache. They did not properly secure the shingles in multiple places so lifting and buckling was happening. It took me almost 3 months to get somebody out here to fix it. Highly unacceptable and unprofessional. I had an adjuster come out today for wind and hail damage on my roof. The adjuster said that our shingles were in rough shape due to poor Installation and in fact we had no wind and hail damage. I could not be more disgusted with this company! It’s a shame we can’t get reimbursed to hire another company.
After the initial agreement with Perfect Choice for replacing our roof, we were given an estimated time window on when the instillation would begin. After the estimated window passed and with zero communication since agreement, I reach out for a new estimated timeframe. To my surprise, they could come out the next day to work on it. While it was great to have the quick turn around after my call, I felt like if I had not called, I might not have gotten my roof replaced.
My kids and I also were able to play a game of Nail Hunt. It is the game where we walked around the house to see who could pick up the most nails. Unfortunately, it was not hard to find them, so the game went on for a while. Another call to Perfect Choice and they said they could come out and run a magnet over the yard to clean up. By that time, our extended game had cleaned most of the yard, deck, and driveway where they were easily visible. It would have been nice for this to be been done when the job was complete.
During installation, many of the plants around the front of my house were damaged. My Hostas were snapped and my peonies plants were smashed.
Two days after the job was complete, I had to call Perfect Choice to come remove the portable dumpster, which was still in my driveway. The dumpster sat in my driveway blocking our garage for multiple days after the job was complete.
Like I had mentioned at the beginning, the actual roof seems to be good, but I am not sure if everything else we went through and are still going through is something I would subject others to. Hopefully cleaning out my attic will be the last of this, but without leaf guards, I may have some additional gutter cleaning as the leaves begin to fall. I look forward to next spring when my flowers come up fresh, as if nothing had ever happened to them. When it comes to your decision on having work performed on your home, I hope your Choice is a little more Perfect.
When Halloween season came around, I went up into our attic to get our decorations for our yard. I was shocked to see saw dust all over everything and chucks of plywood spread throughout the attic. Another gave of cleanup played! Luckily, we have lids on many totes in the attic, but the ones without lids were on top and everything inside was filthy.
